Making wedding signage & stationery eco-friendly
My passion for sustainable weddings
Weddings get a bad rep for being wasteful, but they really don’t have to be. More and more couples want to choose the eco-friendly more sustainable option and when it comes to wedding signs, it is totally achievable.
I have spent years carefully sourcing my materials and to be able to offer eco-friendly options is something I am so passionate about.
Locally sourced wood
I purchase my wood from a local supplier in Cambridgeshire.
The beautiful nordic ash wood is 100% renewable - they plant 4 new saplings for every tree harvested.
It is 100% traceable and from 100% sustainable forests.
They promote the responsible ecological management of and safeguard biodiversity in all of their forestry operations.
I do use MDF for some shapes (arches and waves etc) as this achieves the most gorgeous finish. As always I encourage my wedding clients to keep hold of their beautiful wooden signs and they always do!
Recycled Acrylic
A wonderful option for eco-friendly weddings. Perspex offer 100% recycled frosted acrylic boards, which I will always choose.
They create the highest quality acrylics using 100% recycled and 100% recyclable materials without causing unnecessary harm to the earth.
All clear acrylic is made from 100% recycled plastic. All large frosted acrylic sheets are made from 100% recycled plastic.
Coloured and specialist acrylic isn’t used from recycled materials but are long term keepsakes.

I do ask my wedding couples to recycle where possible after their wedding day. Most couples like to keep their larger signs and I always ask to encourage your guests to take home their acrylic place names - these double up as lovely little keepsakes.
